GMAT Test Schedule: The GMAT is a computer-based test that can be scheduled by appointment.

The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is a standardized test allowing business schools to uniformly judge the qualifications of applicants.  The three and a half hour test (plus two 10 minute breaks) covers verbal, mathematical and analytical skills.  The verbal section includes sentence correction, critical reasoning and reading comprehension.  There are a total of 41 questions, to be completed in 75 minutes.   The quantitative section includes problem solving and data sufficiency.  It includes 37 questions to be completed in 75 minutes. The analytical writing section requires two essays, where the student must analyze an argument in one and an issue on the other.  Each essay has a time limit of 30 minutes.  Top scores on the GMAT are considered above 650.  Schools such as Harvard and Stanford are likely to look for high 600s to low 700s, at a minimum.

Vancouver Math Tutor offers several standard tutoring programs that are structured to supplement a student who is otherwise demonstrably capable with GMAT subject matter and only needs a review or a student who requires comprehensive attention over a two to three month period:

  • a fifteen hour brush up program

  • a twenty hour intensive program , allowing more time to focus on one problem area or another.

  • a twenty-five hour intensive program that permits the most comprehensive preparation available.

  • Tailored tutoring on an hourly basis (2 hour minimum)
